While most children save money for a favorite toy, 12-year-old Megan Shea saved for her very own pink Kitchen Aide mixer.
Splitting her childhood between Southern California and Fort Worth, Megan developed her love of cooking through spending time in the family kitchen. Nobody made cinnamon rolls like Grammy Shea.
Megan spent years working in the restaurant industry as a server and prep cook. Afterwards, she graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. While working under Chef Chris Bateman at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, she cultivated a love for artistic food presentation.
After returning to Dallas, Megan learned about the art of food styling through a Fort Worth photographer. Soon after, she was offered a position with foodstylists.com. Megan trained as an assistant and worked her way up to Junior Food Stylist within record time. Her exceptional work ethic and creativity fuel her ambition to provide the best work for her clients. Megan collaborates with top agencies around the country and styles food for companies such as Longhorn Steakhouse, Jamba Juice, Frito Lay, Dave and Buster’s, The Container Store, Wingstop, 7-Eleven, JCPenny, Bennigan’s, Dickie’s Barbecue, D Magazine, Eatzi’s, Fogo de Chao, among many others.
Megan resides in Uptown Dallas with her puppy dog Maxcie. She balances her obsession for ice cream with her incredibly active lifestyle. Megan’s wanderlust is fulfilled traveling the world with her boyfriend Phil, an Air Force pilot.
